Hello Sauvie Island
Sauvie Island Fire District # 30J would like to ask the community to continue $0.3500 per $ 1,000.00 of assessed value for five years to continue the local operating levy with the renewal beginning in 2025. This will renew the current local option taxes with no increase.
Sauvie Island Fire District 2025 Local Option Levy
Will be used for general operating purposes for the Fire District to include:

Continue the required medical testing for all firefighters

Continued required Federal and OSHA testing of equipment

Continued firefighter's face mask “fit” testing for use of breathing apparatus

Annual servicing and safety inspections of vehicles and equipment

Continued ability to aggressively seek additional funds for equipment replacement

Continuing volunteer training and certification

Continued funding for the current Fire Chief
The rate is estimated to raise the following amounts:
