Home Smoke Alarm Campaign
When was the last time you checked your smoke alarms?
Did you know that home fires are the number one disaster the American Red Cross responds to around the country? Having working smoke alarms doubles your chances of making it out safely in a fire.
To better prepare households, the American Red Cross founded the Home Fire Campaign in 2014. Since its inception, the Red Cross has installed over 2.6M smoke alarms and saved over 1,900 lives across the country. The Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by checking existing smoke alarms, installing free smoke alarms when needed, and by educating people about home fire safety.

The Sauvie Island Fire District is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our community members! We will be partnering with the American Red Cross to make this service more accessible to the Island.
